How does Google Calendar sync work?

Once you set up Google Calendar sync, it only ever goes one way: your Swipetimes records get pushed to the calendar, but anything you change directly in the calendar is never synced back.

Depending on which add-ons you own, that sync can run automatically on every change, or only when you trigger it manually.

Swipetimes only ever touches the calendar it created for itself — it never reads from or writes to any of your other calendars.
