Once you define an area on the map, entering or leaving it can trigger automation — starting or stopping tracking without you touching the app.
Detection uses Android’s own location service, which isn’t purely GPS-based; it also relies on cell towers, trading a bit of accuracy for meaningfully better battery life.
Detection is also intentionally delayed, by up to 5–6 minutes, so briefly passing through an area doesn’t trigger tracking you didn’t want. If automatic tracking never seems to trigger at all, try enlarging the area’s radius.
