# Special days

Special days let *Swipetimes* count whole days rather than tracked hours — sick days, vacation, and holidays are all built in.

Each built-in type is set up a little differently:

- **Holidays** can be imported, rather than entered one by one.
- **Vacation** is planned by you, and tracked against your total entitlement for the year.
- **Sick days** are simply logged whenever they occur.

You're not limited to those built-in types: you can also define your own custom special days — a home office day, for example — and specify how each one should affect your target time.
